There is a $20.00 deposit which will be returned to you if you move or decide to no longer use the courts.

Men's Tennis

The Thicket has a men's tennis team that plays in the North Suburban Tennis League in the Spring and the Fall. Jim Artley is the captain of the team and can be reached at jim.artley@gmail.com if you have interest in playing on The Thicket men's team.
The men often meet on Thursdays for casual doubles and/or singles. Anyone is welcome and you can just show up or you can contact Jim Artley at jim.artley@gmail.com if you want further information.

Men's Tennis League Fall Schedule

The Thicket Men's North Suburban Tennis League team won their division last spring which required a move up to the B Division for Fall 2023. The B division plays on Tuesdays. Play starts at 7:00 PM and typically lasts past 10:00 PM. The Thicket courts will be reserved for league play on the following dates:

September 19th

October 3rd

October 10th (Rain-out make up or practice)

November 2nd (match moved to Thursday to avoid conflict with Halloween)

November 7th

November 14th (Rain-out make up or practice)

Note that most of our opponents have more than 2 courts, so it is very possible that some of the designated home matches could be moved to the opponents courts freeing up the Thicket courts. If you want to use the courts on any of the above dates, check with Jim Artley at jim.artley@gmail.com or call 281-528-0760 (landline, leave message) and he can let you know if the courts will be available.

Ladies Tennis

Currently The Thicket does not have a women's tennis team. There are leagues in the area that The Thicket has previously participated in. If we can get a volunteer to be captain of the women's team we will put out a notice that a team is being formed. If you are interested please contact the Thicket webmaster.
